Nizhoni Music Therapy uses music and its many aspects ~ physical, emotional, mental, social, cultural, aesthetic, and holistic ~ to assist clients in developing, rehabilitating, and maintaining optimal health, functioning, and well being throughout the course of life.
Antoinette Neff is a board-certified music therapist, holding a bachelors in music education with emphasis in music therapy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University since 1990. She has received specialized training in Music Therapy Assisted Childbirth, Neurologic Music Therapy, DIR/Floortime, Musikgarten, Music Together, Roots of Rhythm, and Sprouting Melodies. Antoinette has presented to the Gallup McKinley County Schools, UNM-Gallup, Navajo Nation Head Starts, Parents as Teachers, Southwest Consortium of Indian Head Start Programs, the Western Health Foundation’s Developing the Whole Child Conference, WNMU-Gallup, the Bureau of Indian Education, Southwestern Region of the American Music Therapy Association, the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA), in addition to many local chapters of professional and service organizations in the Four Corners area. Neff is the Executive Director for the Gallup Community Concert Association. She has served as the AMTA's Government Relations Representative for Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma; and, is a Past President of the Southwestern Region of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA). Neff served 7 years on the Examination Committee of the Certification Board for Music Therapists. She is a member of the World Federation of Music Therapists and the Gallup Chamber of Commerce.
