Parent Child Classes
A series of twelve 45 minute sessions for families with young children ages 0 to 5 years. Classes are designed for all levels of ability, and integrate research-based methodologies into each session.
Guitars in the Classroom
The Guitars in the Classroom (GITC) program is open to pre school through 8th grade teachers to help staff integrate music making accross the curriculum through song-based instruction. GITC programs are free! They include "easy" group guitar, singing, song-leading and collaborative songwriting instruction on an ongoing basis through six sequential course levels, in accordance with educational content standards. GITC's sponsors from the music products industry make it possible for the teachers to borrow guitars and recieve their musical accessories, resource materials, and pedagogical support at no charge.
Roots of Rhythm Classes
World Drumming for 5th and 6th Grades: Roots of Rhythm (ROR) takes students on a journey to explore different cultures, music and instruments from around the world using student-made ethnically diverse instruments and body percussion. The ROR curriculum combines music with history, social studies, geography, and language arts; aligning with state and national education standards.
